General Maintenance

The General Maintenance Department for the City of Hamilton is responsible for making sure that everything else in the City runs and works smoothly, from road repairs and maintenance, to maintaining the street lighting and hanging the signs.

Tony Mapp heads up the General Maintenance Department and he and his energetic team are constantly working to keep the City functioning and safe. They also add that little bit extra to emphasise the “fun” in functioning, as it is Tony and his team who string and hang the banners, the Christmas decorations, the lights and the notices, contributing to the festivities of each season. They make living and working in the City both possible and enjoyable for everybody.
